Kind of embarressed to ask...?

ok today i went to my old high school and and talked about college but they went through my records and they told me that i have dyslexia and when i heard that i told them "is that another word for me being stupid..is that is why i didn't have an A(im in a C grade level) grade level and is that is why i was put in these cles because these teachers knew that my handwriting and reading is not normal..well i felt like i was not smart this entire time..i work at an office and i dont see any problems because i use the computer..will this effect my love life because i just wouldnt know what to say to any girl or woman in the future (btw im 19) any thoughts
