Is it normal to have a bunch of leakage with an IUD?

I had a baby in NOvember 2008 and an IUD inserted at the end of December 2008 and I have a lot of leakage everyday, so much I have to wear a lil pad. Not only that most of the time it is a light brownish color. Is this normal? Is this from the IUD or me having a baby? I just hate having to wear a pad all the time! Please help.
