Why is international outrage selective and biased?

It seems to me to be an issue of momentum. The civil rights movement in the 60's was very popular and successful in the US and journalists might want to relive or recreates the good ol days. When the tables are turned, it dies not fly, again because of momentum. We have 200 + years of counter programming where the whites are the enslavers and the oppressors. It seems terribly unPC to suggest the blacks might be oppressing whites. However true it may or may not be, it doesn't SOUND right in a press release.
