Car problems on 88 firebird 2.8 liter v6?

hey i have a 1988 firebird 2.8 liter v6 and it idles very ruff and stalls but what the funny part is when my foot is on the gas it stays on but when i take my foot off the gas it quits maybe its the oxygen sensor could someone help me pleae thanks
